Habitat: Deep canyons and cave systems of lower SILVERSITE. Appears to avoid water. Also lays dormant on mountainsides.
Diet: Strictly carnivorous, with a preference for large prey (deer, elk, human).

Possesses elongated limbs and hypertrophied musculature, giving it a towering gait.
Emits a low, infrasonic hum believed to serve both as echolocation and as a hunting pressure tactic.
Displays uncanny environmental awareness, has been observed hiding in plain sight, unmoving for hours.

===[BEHAVIOR]===
“Old South” is not aggressive by default, it is patient. Documented kills (including that of expedition member Calvin H., see Incident 575.OGG) suggest the creature stalks prey for extended periods before engaging. It does not pursue fleeing prey at full speed. It waits for prey to exhaust.
